Description: Beautiful Conde Hermanos FLAMENCO nylon string guitar handcrafted in Madrid, Spain in 2006. Model A28, Felipe № 2 The Conde Hermanos shop has a longstanding history of creating world class flamenco and classical guitars. Played by renowned performers, e.g., Paco de Lucía, Leonard Cohen, Al Di Meola. Included in the photo set is a short DEMO VIDEO I made playing this guitar. Nothing fancy, just my iPhone camera to let you hear the guitar's pure acoustic voice. Spanish cypress body is perfectly suited for flamenco repertoire. Clear articulation, ample volume and crisp tone. But I also enjoyed playing softer classical pieces on this guitar. Overall condition VERY GOOD given a few superficial marks shown in photos and highlighted below. Glossy finish. Its shallow body depth (3-1/2“ at upper bout, 3-3/4" at lower), ultra-lightness and thin neck depth make this guitar very easy to hold and play. Highly protective SKB hard-shell case in like new condition. Guitar stored in humidified case between play. Smoke free household and playing environments. Prior/original owner (2007-2013) used HIGH tension strings with aggressive attack (marks below lower tap plate). Under close scrutiny, light superficial lines (not open cracks) were visible on upper bout parallel to fingerboard. Without letting this hinder string tension choice or create an issue down the road, soundboard was reinforced with INTERIOR SOUND HOLE PLATE made of tightly grained Sitka Spruce. See photos. Soundboard has remained perfectly stable for 11 years I have owned and played this guitar without any tone compromise. Even if not an established or aspirational flamenco guitarist, this is a cool specialty instrument in the nylon-string category to play fingerstyle technique. Or use a pick ... the way Al Di Meola plays his Conde Hermanos Flamenco with endless fluidity. SPECIAL FEATURES: Solid German Spruce top Solid Spanish Cypress back and sides Cedar neck Rosewood bridge and faceplate on headstock Transparent tapping plate + shield below string tie block Ebony fingerboard, no significant fret wear Gorgeous gold tuning machine plates Bone nut, polished unbleached bone saddle (very hard) Scale length 680 mm (26-1/8") Neck width at nut 51 mm (2”) Strung with MEDIUM tension strings String action height at 12th fret = 9/64" (3.6 mm) on low/high E strings* Instrument total length = 39" Premium SKB hard-shell case in like new condition * NOTE - I have owned 2 Conde Hermanos guitars and studied many. All are built precisely with target action heights at the 12th fret and their bone saddles rise barely above the bridge slot. This may contribute to their powerful, rich tone vs. guitars built with traditionally higher saddle heights. Autumn Acoustics is all about quality musical instruments and experiences.
