Description: This listing is for a new Corgi US Army M113 Armored Cavalry Assault Vehicle (Ambulance), Vietnam in 1:43 scale. This model was released in 2002 with a small amount distributed world wide, a limited edition card also included with this model. Like the other vehicles in the "Unsung Heroes" line, this M113 has been "muddied / battle scared" to give it a more weathered appearance. This particular vehicle was attached to the US Army Infantry. Model in these photos belongs to my collection. This release does not come with a booklet telling the story of the vehicle operator like previous releases.Note: Outer box has some some tears & scratches at the opening flaps & "plastic tray has some tears (cracks)" due to longer time storage.Scale: 1/43 Length: 3.75" Width: 2.25"The Armored Cavalry Assault Vehicle (ACAV) was a derivative of the US Army's standard M113 armored personnel carrier. APCs such as the M113 were designed to ferry a squad of troops into battle and protect them from small arms fire. Once the vehicle came to a stop, a rear ramp would be lowered so that the troops riding inside the carrier could disembark behind the vehicle without being exposed to enemy gunfire.
