I have been told that the UK edition is way scarcer then the US printing, either way the dust jacket blows the US edition away. . An excerpt of this novel, Cormac’s first, were published in the Spring 1965 edition of the Swanee Review under the title “Dark Waters.” This novel would go on to win the Pen/Faulkner award and would be the only book published by Random House that would get a second printing. .
