Imported direct from France when this batch was newly released; and stored in IDEAL perfume conditions ever since! All the above pictures are ours! Fresh! We never import from the Middle East like places in New Jersey and NY. They buy old product from the Middle East. This is new product direct from France. It DOES have a Metal cap. ONLY 1 AUTHENTICITY CARD, NO multi language foldout paper anymore. Virgin Island Water was inspired by a sailing trip near Ginger Island in the Caribbean. This unisex perfume celebrates the tropical splendor and exotic scents carried by the Trade Winds of Sir Francis Drake Channel.It opens with a citrusy cocktail of white bergamot, Jamaican lime, Sicilian mandarin. The citruses are accompanied by a note of copra, the white inner flesh of the coconut. The heart includes intensive Indian jasmine and sweet hibiscus, exotic ylang-ylang and cold, spicy ginger. The base of the composition includes sugar cane, musk and white rum. The best perfume storage is completely dark, cool and low humidity. We have had this exact perfume storage; going back to 2015! It is not good for them to be in a retail store environment with fluorescent light! Even sealed in their original boxes, even if the boxes are black most stores DO NOT store their perfume properly. At all. They just hope to sell it within a year. Disclaimers/ things to know about Creed before buying All the pictures are ours and you will receive exactly what you see, though not the one we pictured! Meaning, we have stock of these and we don't take a new picture each time one sells. Why the QR code is Sharpied over, messed up etc. This is from our suppliers, it comes that way. If in the pictures it is a Sharpie marker, if it is a sealed item the mark is just on the outside cellophane. If it is scraped off, then that would look the same with the cello off unfortunately. Creed is well known to be one of the worst for quality control, see batches next section. But it also pops up in things like the boxes, cello wrapping. The boxes are super cheap, cheapest you can get for a perfume that retails for $400. They often don't have 4 perfectly crisp corners, and the cello is often weakly sealed. Sometimes the sticker on the bottle is not perfectly straight or has a bubble in it (usually correctable). The batch number on the bottom of the bottle can be printed or laser, and in different places. This can all be referenced online, we don't buy from just 1 supplier but a few in France it is quality control all from Creed itself. Just be aware if you are newer to Creed! BATCHES We do not offer batch advice- we don't know the differences in batches except some generalities. It's not something we would devote many hours each week to, one fragrance. Batch numbers start with the year, like 19, 20, 21 etc. Then a letter, in chronological order A before B before C etc. So A,B,C batches are toward the beginning of the year, X,Y,Z the end. Then ending in two numbers, typically 01, 11, 21, but sometimes others. In general, Creed is shipped to market too fast- so it isn't as strong as it could be. Especially common with Aventus but with most Creed just let it breathe a bit…. Once the bottle has been sprayed it tends to smell stronger a week or two after!
