These figurines have exceptional detail and are much collected. J T (Jack) Jones, born 1898, was Crown Staffordshire's Art Director for 30 years, working for 47 years from joining the Company aged 18. Jack was one of England's leading designers of fine bone china. His most well-known pieces are the exceptionally fine range of birds encompassing everything from bluebirds to budgerigars, large cockatoos to exquisite pheasants. Each piece is highly decorative with exquisite attention to detail not only in relation to the birds but the accompanying floral decoration.Oriole and Robin Birds perched on branches with delicate flowers below.Good condition other than the tip of the wing of the Oriole is broken off (see photo closeup).I looked closely at the flowers and leaves and don't see any other chips.Measures 6.5 inches tall by 3.5 inches wide by 9.5 inches long.
