Brady (1861-1920), a U.S. Naval Academy graduate, was an Episcopal minister and a successful author, with over 100 books to his credit, who also worked as a screenwriter for Vitagraph. In the publisher's forest green flat-weave cloth binding, with a vignette of a buccaneer and titles stamped in cream and black on the front panel and gilt-stamped titles on the spine. The binding is signed "DD" (The Decorative Designers). Small purple ink star-shaped stamp on the copyright page. Very mild wear to the corners and tips; else near fine. In the exceedingly scarce dust jacket, which is toned along the extremities and a bit chipped with some archival silk reinforcement to the verso.
