Gusto is the latest run hot off the machines at Dave's Appalachian Swirls marble factory. This run had some quality issues IMHO and it is hard to find perfectly mint condition marbles from this run. Well, so I found out that if you sort through enough of them, some really nice marbles can be found from this run. Look even a bit further and you can find a very few specialist marbles that some collectors seem to go crazy over...just like this Oxblood & Aventurine with Gold Lutz gem. This Gusto marble manufacturing run was indeed a very colorful run with lots of variety throughout the production cycle. The color design on this Gusto was a spectacular combination to combine the color palette of glass raw materials to create something very special. This particular special orb is what we would call an Oxblood, Green Aventurine and Gold Lutz special. The lutz means the marble has some fantastic gold sparkling glass on the outside surface giving some eye-popping pizzazz. This lutz can be either chunky or a smooth dusting and both are rare and beautiful and add lots of sparkle to the marble. This marble is mostly the smooth gold lutz dusting style and you can easily see the generous sprinkling of gold lutz chunks all over 90% the glass surface. This is quite beautiful indeed. The added bonus on this particular marble is the beautiful contrasting that complements the red Oxblood and green aventurine glass. The unique thing about the oxblood on this marble is that it sparkles, too. I don't know how they did this, but it really turned out nicely. This design is very unique within this run. Lastly, I'll just mention this once...size means everything. This is a very big 0.781" diameter and very round marble. This is a very hard to fins size from JABO or DAS, so grab this one while you can. I try my best to take high resolution pictures with flash to show exactly what you are getting. I use a Canon Rebel DSLR camera with built-in flash to show all the fine details of the marble. I try to rotate the marble to give multiple views. This marble was manufactured using the 3/4" machine and the size of this particular marble is a relatively huge 0.781" in diameter measured with electronic calipers.
