According to the Met Museum, this set was issued ca. 1920–30 by Walter M. Lowney Company in Canada as a prize or premium in boxes of Lowney Swiss Style Caramels. This was part of a 12 card set that contained animals or flowers on card. Printed on front: LOWNEY'S/ SWISS STYLE/ CARAMEL/ SEW - ME - ON/ YOUR SWEATER, COAT, CUSHIONS,...ETC. Lowney Company Date: ca. 1920–30 Medium: Commercial photolithograph with silk thread embroidery Dimensions: Sheet: 4 1/8 × 2 3/16 in. (10.4 × 5.6 cm) Classifications: Prints, Ephemera Condition report: Card and patch are still attached to one another and the embroidery has never been removed from the card or applied to another item. Backing card has creases and shows wear and fraying on the edges of corners. A small tear on the edge of the card. Light pencil marks on the both sides of the card.
