Description: For your consideration is this antique Dr. J. Hostetter's Bitters bottle. Made in the United States, this bottle is a piece of history that should not be missed. During the Civil War Union troops were said to take Dr. Hostetter's Bitters to prevent malaria and other diseases when they fought in the swamps of Louisiana. The bottle holds 18 fluid oz. and is 8 3/4" tall. It is in excellent condition but the labels are very worn. One is practically gone. Please see photos.
