Unless the product doesn't meet with description. - The dragon root has been kiln dried for shipping purposes and to prevent contamination and unwanted pests. For this reason, the wood will not sink immediately, it will need to absorb water. You will need to use a weight or rock to initially sink the wood, after one week, the wood will sink by itself. Also, a white fungus might develop over the wood in the first month, this is perfectly normal and safe for shrimp and fish. The fungus will disappear by itself over time. - Please note that this item cannot be shipped with live plants (No combine shipping with the plant order). A separate shipping fee will be charged for the plants in the same order. - This wood will release tannins into the water, regular water change can eliminate brownish water color over time or use Seachem Purigen. Wood can lower water pH over time, if your livestock prefers high pH, hard water environment, please research before adding wood in the tank.
