Description: This is the Scarce 1873 First Printing thus of the Complete 3-Volume set of THE DRAMATIC WORKS OF RICHARD BROME CONTAINING FIFTEEN COMEDIES NOW FIRST COLLECTED IN THREE VOLUMES and Published in London by John Pearson in 12mos. measuring 4.5" x 7" and containing [iv], [x], 468; [xxiii], [171], [8], [96], [6], 110, [4], 130, [1]; xii, [i], 550 pp. respectively, and with a portrait frontispiece of the author in the first volume. Each volume contains 5 plays with each play having facsimile title pages dated 1653, 1659 and 1632-1657 respectively. The 3 volumes were uniformly bound by Worsfold in 3/4 tan calf with marbled boards and endpapers, gilt decorated, titled and dated spines (1873), top edges gilt and others uncut.
