Dress for 6" Hitty Red, White, Blue Print w Embroidered Apron

This listing is for an adorable dress for a 6" - 6 1/2" Hitty created by Patt Grethmann and tagged with her Mehitabel's Closet label. It is one of the first dresses I ever bought from Patt. It was purchased at my first ever carving workshop which was hosted by Patt. The dress was bought as a "coming home" outfit for my newly carved first Hitty. It is my most favorite Hitty dress because of that but also, because it reminds me of a dress my mother made for me when I was about 5 which I called my Heidi dress. It is reminiscent of the old fashioned, traditional dresses of young Swiss and German girls The dress is made of cotton in a colorful red, white, blue, and yellow floral print. The bodice has a round neck and puff sleeves with a ruffled edges. The neck and sleeves are both trimmed with red blanket stitch embroidery. The blanket stitching is continued along the back opening of the bodice and skirt. The bodice closes in the back with 3 small pearly buttons with corresponding red blanket stitched button loops. The dress has an attached apron in a micro mini floral print in white on beige. It is bound all around the edges in red blanket stitching and embroidered with tiny bud like blossoms and leaves. The skirt is gathered at the waist and very full. The hand hemming is virtually invisible. There is a neat back seam. This outfit is pre-owned by an adult collector and is in excellent, like new condition. I have done my best to describe this little doll but photographs will always tell you so much more.
