Description: Dud Dean Yarns - Arthur Macdougall Jr. - 1934. A first edition in dust jacket. Laid in are a bulletin from the Angler's Sunday Service on the Kennebec, dated 1941, with Macdougall pictured on the front, and a note from the author about the book, with handwritten note and signature. This copy is one of the 44 copies of the first handset edition (down to 22 when this was inscribed), printed in Bingham, seemingly preceding the reported 800 published later. The book is inscribed and signed to J. Roswell Gallagher, a physician who achieved breakthroughs in adolescent health. Tales of fishing, hunting, and the outdoors in Maine. DJ has a chip and small tear at upper front edge, as well as a few marks, in good condition. The book is nearly spotless, in fine condition. A quite rare package. The book is exactly as pictured.
