Description: Item Description An original 1963 concert poster for the Newport Jazz Festival which took place at Freebody Park in Newport, Rhode Island on 4th to 7th July 1963. The event featured performances by John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, Dizzy Gillespie, Nina Simone and Dave Brubeck amongst other musicians and singers. The red cardboard poster is printed with an image of a saxophone alongside a list of performers and event information. It measures 34cm x 54.75cm (13.5 inches x 21.5 inches). There is wear & scuffing in each corner with some further scuffing & scratching to the left and right edges and lower right corner. The condition is very good. Very Good = Some wear and tear but overall presentable and usable. Good = Apparent wear and tear but with obvious deterioration of the condition. Poor = Extremely worn. A plus or minus after the grading indicates that the condition is marginally higher or lower than the stated grade.
