Description: My Grandmother once told me that she's had this darling little birdcage ever since she was a young kid and that it's from the 1920's. Stands to reason considering that she was born in 1915...Rest her soul. It's been in storage for many years and has collected a lot of rust, but, by no means, is rusted through The weaving is naturally coming undone, but, is still intact. The door has a lovely heart molding and opens & closes w/out a hitch. It doesn't come with the receptacle/pan for emptying waste, but bottom of cage opens up like a door for easy access and cleaning. Just reattach clips to secure it back in place. * Height - 13.5" w/handle...13" w/out. * Length - 12" approx * Width - 12" approx * Weight - 2 lbs. 15 oz. This is truly a true vintage/antique item that happens to be approximately 104 years old. And, amazingly enough, it's still in pretty darn good condition considering. Would make a great collector's piece. I wouldn't use it for what it was originally created for because of it's rarity and value as a true vintage/antique item. Buy with confidence & thanks for your interest.
