Description: This FIRST PRINTING, two-volume, hard cover set from Russ Cochran's EC Archives reprints the first twelve issues of the iconic Weird Science comic book in full color throughout. I won't go into what EC and Weird Science were since a quick web search will bring up far more than you would ever want to know. It's likely you already know and that's why you're here looking. For the uninitiated, EC was the publisher of Tales from the Crypt and Mad (first a comic and then a magazine to escape the Comics Code). EC's line of "New Trend" comics is generally considered to be the best written, edited, and drawn in comic book history. George Lucas (creator of Star Wars) wrote the foreword to Volume One. I have been slowly downsizing my collection of books. These two have been carefully browsed through one time only. (I've already read the stories in the original comics and in Russ Cochran's original EC Library.) While I intend to hold onto my complete set of the slipcased EC Library for now, it's time to let the all-color EC Archives volumes go to a new home. Frankly however, I'm likely to keep them rather than let them go for some ridiculously low price. Fifteen years ago, these books sold new for $49.95 each.
