Description: Hello Mentors fans! In 1985, Dr. Heathen Scum (Steve Broy) graduated from college and rented an apartment in Redondo Beach, CA. El Duce (Eldon Hoke) had recently become unemployed, so Broy and Hoke became roommates in Redondo. These sessions were recorded in that apartment on a TEAC 2340 four track. This LP is the "El Duce-1985" sessions. All instruments are played by Broy. All lyrics and vocals are done by Hoke. They used "Drum Drops" for the percussion. The keyboard used was a Korg Poly-61M. In short, these sessions were the beginnings of the "Up the Dose" LP on Death Records which was released in 1986. If you have heard "Up the Dose", you will recognize that same keyboard sound. All master recordings were provided by Steve Broy.
