Description: Electrodyne 709L Preamp & 2 Band Inductor EQ FULLY FUNCTIONAL For sale is a pair of Electrodyne 709L Preamp & EQ Channel Strips in good condition cosmetically and excellent shape internally = overall very good condition. These 2 band inductor based EQs were around before the 710s, 711s, and 712s. These have a service date of May 2012 from Ken at Orphan Audio and have been in my possession for a few years now and sound absolutely amazing on any audio that passes through them! The 500 series racks, like the Electrodyne 501, 511, 2501, & 2511 are based after the Electrodyne 710L and 711L modules, in which both vintage modules are very similar to each other sonically, and with the 712L’s being graphic 9-band inductor EQs, that leaves these 709Ls in a category of distinctive color and character sonically (they differ from the 710’s, 711’s and 712.’s in a good way). These 709’s have more of a “bite” to them, and are more “gritty/dirty” sounding than the 500 series modules, and when you hear them, you will not be disappointed!
