Description: English Caudle Cup Gargoyle Handles Charles Harris Sterling Silver 1890 Victorian era English sterling silver caudle cup, made by Charles Stuart Harris, London, 1890. The cup features swag decorations around the body, gilt interior and two scroll handles, decorated with gargoyle figures. On the front, there is an engraved inscription "Evolene from her old friend John Julian". This darling antique cup is 7 1/4" wide across the handles, 4 3/8" in diameter and weighs 241.5 grams or 7.79 ozs Troy. The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing. The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
