Description In conjunction with the Gibson Custom Shop, Gibson has released the 1959 ES-355, a stunning reproduction of the historic 1959 ES model, the top of the line ES model line, and an accurate reproduction of the body dimensions, body top contour, inlay pattern, and acoustic characteristics. The ES-355 is an exact replica of the ES model. The 1959 ES-355 features a five-layer maple/poplar body and a maple center block for excellent feedback resistance and sustain. The one-piece neck features a 50s Rounded Medium C profile for a comfortable grip, and an ebony fingerboard with mother-of-pearl block inlays. Gibson-style open-book headstock with mother-of-pearl split diamond inlays and Epiphone logo inlays. Gold Grover Rotomatic tuners are mounted, and the back of the head is engraved with the Inspired by Gibson double-diamond logo. Two Gibson Custombucker pickups are hand-wired to the CTS potentiometer, Mallory capacitor, switch craft pickup selector switch, and output jack. The hard case with the Inspired by Gibson Custom logo is specially designed with a brown exterior and pink interior.
