That being said, if one of the shafts fails I will send out a replacement upon receiving proof of failure. ** IMPORTANT **The main roller on the DS-510 and -560 also tends to fail on these scanners which results in a failure to feed and a loud clicking noise. Before purchasing these shafts, pull out the main roller in the body (it's behind a gray cover which pops open) and inspect the plastic ends. Make sure that it is not cracked.
