Description: The pretty singer and actress seen on this rare 2vintage real photo postcard is Ethel Negretti (1879-c1918). She was born in London. She married Albert Pembridge Parker in 1904. He was a manager in the motor trade.They were separated sometime before 1918. She began her theatrical career in 1898 with a touring troupe from the Wallace Erskine's Company. She continued to perform over the years until her final appearance in "The Magic Touch", a musical comedy that was produced in 1915. Miss Negretti sat for one portrait in the collection of Great Britain's National Portrait Gallery. Miss Negretti's portrait seen on this card, reveals that she is pretty and well dressed. She is likely wearing a costume from one of her stage appearances. This vintage postcard was published by Rotary Photo as part of a series (No.4322A). The photograph was taken by the Foulsham & Banfield studio. The postmark on the reverse of this postcard reveals that it was mailed in 1907. This card is in very good condition (see scans)
