Sweet on the title page. Near Fine+/Fine- in Fine Dust Jacket. A very nice copy, some shelf-wear and a hint it may have been read once but in excellent condition. Some natural aging and toning to the text-block, very slight hint of toning to the lower corner of the first few pages, almost imperceptible. The dust jacket appears perfect, NO tears, etc. Priced to sell. Note on Edition: The true first edition/first printing of "The Eye of the World" (first book of the Wheel of Time) was only printed in about 2000 trade hardcover copies and maybe about 20,000 trade paperbacks in 1990. (A few trade paperbacks were modified into hardcovers when demand was higher than expected.) This first UK hardcover probably also had a print-run of no more than 2000 copies, possibly much less. The series went on to be immensely popular and the US hardcover edition of "The Eye of the World" was reprinted numerous times in generally the same design as the original hardcover printing throughout the 1990's. Unlike the numerous US re-printings, there was only one other UK hardcover edition printed circa 2000. Jordan passed before finishing the series. Fantasy writer Brandon Sanderson was asked by Jordan's family to finish the final volumes. NOTE: All modern books with dust jackets come with dust jacket covers.ALSO: The pictures are of the actual items for sale. (The pictures are NOT stock photos.) IMPORTANT NOTE: All sales are generally FINAL. I do NOT accept returns because of buyer's remorse, "it was a gift but the recipient already had it", or "I found the same book(s) at a better price". I am not selling new items to compete with other retailers. Returns are only accepted because of significant discrepancies regarding edition and/or condition of which I try to be very thorough in researching the edition/printing as well as describing ALL condition issues. So make sure you're 100% positive you desire one of my items before making a purchase. Shipping: Large priority mail shipping box, $25, $110 UK and international. NOTE on FEEDBACK: If you have problem with an order for any reason, please contact me before leaving feedback! 99% of the time we can resolve the problem. It is much more difficult to change feedback once left. A Word on First Editions: 90% of my offerings are first trade editions, and 90% of those are first printings with some signed-limited editions here and there. In general I do NOT sell bookclub editions or cheap reprints like Modern Library except in rare instances which would be explicitly stated as such. In general, I also DO NOT sell x-library copies. If the book is both a first edition AND a first printing, it will be marked as “first edition” in the Item Specifics under “Special Attributes”, otherwise assume a later printing. Sometimes I will check mark first edition if the it is the printing of a special edition such as a signed-limited edition. NOTE on USPS Shipping: The US Post has been very unpredictable since the pandemic! I ship on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays sometimes on Friday. I don't tend to ship on Mondays and never on Saturdays.$10 shipping in the U.S. only via priority mail (2-4 days), $22.50 priority mail, and $100 priority mail rest of the world. Make sure your current address is on eBbay and/or Paypal! All books are bubble-wrapped, and those costing over $50 will be placed in a box. My shipping costs are slightly more than others because I use dust jacket covers, bubble-wrap, and boxes. The extra $1 or so is worth it to protect your book!FYI, media mail is a discount shipping rate for books and CD's. It is not the same as first class mail, and you can't expect items to arrive in the same time frame. They typically take 1 1/2 to 3 weeks. Items shipped media mail take longer than a letter which is first class.PLEASE contact me if you would like a reduction in shipping costs for multiple purchases sent to a single address. (not always possible with international shipping.) ATTENTION Canadian and International customers: $100 international priority mail with required tracking. There may be a delay, sometimes an additional 1 to 8 weeks, if your package is inspected by your country's custom's inspectors. I cannot be responsible (and I have no control over) delays due to customs inspections. It is best to find out your country's policies in this regard.Any further questions, please email me. I try my very best to accurately describe condition. Disputes in condition of items must be resolved within 15 days of shipment of item. Track Page Views With Auctiva's FREE Counter
