This is an older set but is still sealed in shrink with some wear on the outer shrink. PITT MONOCHROME CHARCOAL SETThis set contains a wide range of different charcoal strelks and artists' accessories. Natural sketching charcoal consists of carbonized lime (linden) or birch twigs, sorted according to diameter. It is very soft and dry. PITT charcoal sticks No. 11 74 00, -03 and -11 are very similar in character. To make charcoal pencils, wood charcoal and clay are ground up with a binding agent, pressed into moulds, and fired in a kiln. Depending on the proportions, the results range from extra soft to extra hard. They leave a blacker mark than natural sketching charcoal This item is from the estate of a former high-ranking Microsoft executive (and notably, a key member of team at SRI that developed the underlying network technology for the internet!) who had a lifelong passion for gaming and the means to amass a truly extraordinary and vast game collection spanning many decades.
