Works well once you get it figured out - very well hidden hook style designed to be placed manually and just magically seems snaps into place when inserting. To release - you need to depress the (again - well camouflaged) button that can be found on the link next to the clasp to release. Original safety chain remains with spring ring clasp to secure MEASUREMENTS: Due to the accordion or expansion styling - the length has a wide range. Very minor tiny flea bites or chippies to several of the stones - with the worst one in my opinion being pictured next to my pen tip on a purple rectangular specialty rhinestone. There is one whole setting that appears to be missing - that would have held a square purple gem. See last photo(s) for examples. There is a lot going on visually here, and most of the issues are well masked, unless inspecting closely and actively looking for flaws. The good news is all stones are present and the clasp is in fantastic working order - making this ready to wear or gift (or restore if you felt the need).
