Fancy Pants, 1950, Movie Glass Slide, Bob Hope, Lucille Ball, Bruce Cabot

Description: Fancy Pants, 1950, Movie Glass Slide, Bob Hope, Lucille Ball, Bruce Cabot Click images to enlarge Description You are bidding on an ORIGINAL "coming attraction" Movie Glass/Lantern Slide that was designed to promote the theatrical release of the 1950, western comedy feature, "Fancy Pants". This hand colored glass slide is an ORIGINAL and it is NOT a reproduction. It was created to be projected onto the movie theatre screen before the film was released to promote the "coming attraction". Some people in the movie collectible world have said, that, glass slides are much rarer than the paper poster memorabilia from the same film and are very rare pieces of film history.   Format: Glass Slide: 3 1/4" x 4"   Plot Summary: An American actor (Arthur Tyler) impersonating an English butler is hired by a nouveau riche woman (Effie Floud) from New Mexico to refine her husband and headstrong daughter (Aggie). The complications increase when the town believes Arthur to be an Earl, and President Roosevelt decides to pay a visit.   Trivia: The interior set at Paramount Studios representing the first floor of Norma Desmond's mansion in Sunset Blvd. (1950) starring Gloria Swanson was also used in this film, giving fans of that classic a rare opportunity to see it in full color. In a scene involving Lucille Ball and Bob Hope on a mechanical horse, Hope took a tumble off the horse and suffered a mild concussion. John Alexander, who plays Teddy Roosevelt, also plays Teddy Brewster in Arsenic and Old Lace. Teddy Brewster is under the delusion that he is Teddy Roosevelt. Second of four feature films that Bob Hope and Lucille Ball made together. "Lux Radio Theater" broadcast a 60 minute radio adaptation of the movie on September 10, 1951 with Bob Hope and Lucille Ball reprising their film roles.
