Description: Purveyors of Pop culture, Faygo is a revered Detroit institution. Loved by everyone from Juggalo's (recipients of Faygo Showers from ICP) to Bon Appetit and all in between, Faygo has quelled the thirst of generations with their Rock and Rye, Root Beer and Red Pop, to name just a few of Faygo's 50 flavors. Founded by brothers Ben and Perry Feigenson in Detroit in 1907, the company changed its name from The Feigenson Brothers Bottling Works to simply Faygo in 1921. The red Faygo shield - it's original logo - found on these pristine, cream colored coffee mugs, was first used in the 1940s, before moving from a regionally beloved beverage to a national one in the 1960s. In fact, Faygo's Root Beer is so darn tasty, that Bon Appetit named it the best Root Beer in America in 2009. Standing at just over 4.5" tall and able to easily hold 12 oz of your favorite Faygo pop (or coffee I guess ;), these chip and crack free, hefty 1 lb mugs are stamped on the bottom with "M Ware China" and are being sold separately. ***Hello Shopper With Discerning Taste!*** Thanks so much for checking out BricABracBrigade! As you’re here, you obviously love vintage goodies as much as I (I already know I like you!) and that you appreciate how these treasures have stood the test of time. As such, my items bare wear consistent with age - rarely is something decades old ever pristine (myself included!), however I strive to highlight any flaws or blemishes via descriptions and photos. If anything has been inadvertently overlooked, please contact me! While all sales are final and items sold as is, please reach out with any additional questions or issues before purchasing or upon receipt of your goodies as keeping my customers happy makes me happy.
