Description: For sale is a vinyl record by Felix Cavaliere titled "Castles In The Air", originally released in 1979 by Atlantic Records, as a promotional copy, as indicated by the gold stamp on the back cover. In the dead wax between the labels and the end of the tracks is machione stamped a lower case "o" and an upper case "T", along with "Sterling gc", followed by the matrix numbers 2-C/2-C, indicating that this record was mastered at Sterling Sound of New York City, N.Y by Greg Calbi, then lacquered at Columbia Records' Customatrix before it was made at Columbia's pressing plant, located in Terre Haute, Indiana. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after my collectors and music lovers for their superior sound quality. I bought this used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into an archival inner sleeve, protecting the integrity of the vinyl and any inner sleeve that came with the release. The original inner sleeve, with the lyrics is graded as Near Mint Minus because of a hint of froxing. The vinyl is visually graded as Near Mint Minus because of a few small superficial sleeve marks, but still with shiny and bright surfaces, in a like-new condition, without any surface scratches, scuffs, smudges or spindle marks on the labels. I'm play grading this record as Near Mint. It plays all the way through without any surface noise, pops or skips from start to finish. The cover is graded as Very Good Plus because of minor corner blunts and edge rubs, as well as some stress cracks along the spine. The spine has a little damage at the corners and in the middle there is color loss from rubs and stress cracks. It's been played only on Audiophile equipment since I bought it and still has a lot of life yet. This would make a great addition to a anyone's collection. I have other Soul and R&B albums, as well as records of all different genres, listed in my Ebay store. Please take a look. They're predominately Near Mint. Thank you for viewing my listing. I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in plastic inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative. I offer discounts for multiple sales. Photos are of the actual item for sale, not a stock photo. Please review all descriptions and photos because I do not accept returns. Thank you for viewing my listing!
