Description: Here is another unusual Bolivian specimen.The Tazna mine in Bolivia has become well known for unusual twinned Ferberite crystals. But even the non twinned ones, the crystals of this tungsten bearing mineral at Tazna are unusual in habit, often forming flattened, or bladed crystals. Here is a nice flattened crystal of Ferberite, with smaller crystal in a similar habit growing from it's side. Great example for the locality and species.This specimen is 56 grams, or 2 oz. The size is 1.5 inch x 1.5 inch x 0.2 inch.
