The items used for embellishing are both vintage and newer, as well as used and new out of the package. Most papers have been inked around the edges. There is room for you to add additional items to the journal and make it even more your own or you can just use it as is. Most of the embellishments have plenty of room for writing. The vintage bird book page/map centerfold is securely stapled into the middle of the folder. There are openings on both ends of the centerfold for additional pockets. The journal is secured by a piece of coffee dyed cheesecloth that is tied in a bow. Journal measures approximately 8" x 4.75" x .75" when closed and approximately 18" when fully opened.
