Description: This is an Estate Fresh old Hopi Indian Pot from a local Estate home and a long time collector of Native American Pottery Textiles Art & Artifacts. This piece is a FINE NATIVE AMERICAN HOPI Migration Design Jar or Pot by WELL KNOWN Vernida Polacca Nampeyo. Hopi master potter Vernida Polacca Nampeyo (1955- ) made this beautiful migration jar. Vernida is the great-granddaughter of Nampeyo of Hano and the granddaughter of Fannie Nampeyo, Nampeyo's most prolific and skilled potting daughter. Fannie taught Vernida pottery-making. For decades, Vernida made traditional Hopi pottery the way Fannie taught her, and she is well-known for precisely executing family designs, particularly the migration. This fine migration example of her work decorates a well-molded jar, and it fired well. It comes in perfect condition as described above. This piece is 4.5" tall x 5" in diameter at widest point .
