🔥 Fine Vintage Old NY Geometric Cubist Modern Hard Edge Painting, FIGUERAS

Description: This is a well done, fascinating and Fine Vintage Old N.Y. Geometric Cubist Modernist Hard Edge Painting, Gouache on Paper, depicting geometrically configured Hard Edge abstractions of various colored shapes, such as rectangles, cubes and other more complicated forms. This artwork was produced at the end of the Hard Edge Movement heyday and is signed and dated in the lower right corner: "R. Figueras 11-80." I could not find any information on this talented painter, however the verso of this artwork displays a crumpled and barely attached gallery label from 696 Gallery, which was once a prominent Contemporary Art gallery in Rochester, New York. Perhaps you know more about the artist or their work? Additionally, this piece is titled: "The Triumph of Higher Mathematics" in the lower left corner. Approximately 19 1/8 x 23 1/2 inches (including frame.) Actual visible artwork is approximately 13 1/4 inches tall x 13 inches wide. Good condition for 40+ years of age and storage, with light scuffing and wear to the vintage period aluminum frame, and one small scratch to the glass in at the lower right edge (please see photos.)
