Description: Simply exquisite and rare to find, these JMLabs Focal Utopia speakers are the "smaller" version of the JMLabs Focal Grand Utopia speakers. Making their debut in 1997 with a retail price of $37,000, these speakers quickly garnered attention with their undoubtedly elegant "Porsche 911 Carrera" lacquer finish and side panels showcasing an exotic African wood (anigre). Designed to play without grills, these speakers instead come with snap on wood covers to protect the components when not in use. The design did not stop with the exterior elegance! Inside, the mid and high range enclosure is encased in solid Tauri- yet another exotic wood from South America. The speaker is comprised of 4 separate chambers designed by Jacques Mahul to eliminate the inevitable cross modulation issues that appear in single chamber designs. Overall, these speakers are in excellent condition! Very minor signs of use. Cosmetically a 9.5/10 and sonically 10/10! Description: Three-way floorstanding, reflex-loaded loudspeaker.
