Description: My grandmother and mother collected film star photos and autographs from their respective eras. I have silent movie star photos left from my grandmother, and film stars from the 1940s and 1950s left from my mom. My mom kept her collection in a scrapbook (and then removed them); and also numbered her photos in the order received. I try to note all signs of pasting, numbers, pinholes, etc. in the description. (The red ebay sign will not be imprinted on the photo; it is a security mark to prevent copying.)Please note the condition of the varying photos by my descriptions and by viewing them closely. ALL PHOTOS CONTAIN FACSIMILE AUTOGRAPHS, AS WAS THE CUSTOM AMONG THE STARS AT THE TIME.The following photos are included in the set and the conditions of the photos are as follows: William Powell: this is a glossy 3.5" by 5" photo numbered in the top righthand corner with a 176. This photo also has two pinholes in the top white border. This is a lightweight fan photo with some discoloration, most notably along the right (as facing the photo) lower edge. The lower righthand edge is also turned. Also noted by Mr. Powell's left ear (to the right, as facing the photo). Some of the discoloration may be from the pasting that is noticeable on the reverse side. Some scrapbook material extends above the top pf the photo; I have not tried to remove it. The photo features Mr. Powell in a seated position, wearing a suit and tie. This would still be a quality piece, displayed in a frame or collection shadow box! Robert Taylor: As this photo is numbered with a 4 in the righthand corner, then this is one of my mom's earliest one! She must have enjoyed Mr. Taylor's acting, as she had a larger size photo also! (The other photo is among my other listings.). Being a number 4, this matte photo was probably received in 1946 . . . and it is still a photo in great condition! This photo also measures at 3.5" x 5". This has NO pinhole present. The lower lefthand corner is bent; the other corners are intact. No other marring or discoloration is noted. This presents Mr. Taylor in a tweed suit, with a white dress shirt and dark tie. An excellent keepsake. Ricardo Montalbán: This matte photo is numbered with a 208 in the upper righthand corner. No pinhole is present. There is very, very slight signs of pasting residue on the front of the photo (specifically along the bottom edge; only noticeable when the photo is held to the light.). The corners exhibit some wear. Some pasting appears beyond the photo edges and I have not tried to remove it. Mr. Montalbán is posed before a woven background. He is attired in a casual button-down shirt, with the top button undone. The reverse side displays signs of pasting. An excellent memento from the Golden Era. Eddie Bracken: This is a matte 3.5" x 5" photo with a number 138 in the top righthand corner. This photo has a pinhole centered in the top border. The numbered corner has been torn; the other corners are intact. When viewed with light, signs of residue (possibly from pasting) are visible on the photo. Some discoloration is also noted along thebottom white border. This photo presents Mr. Bracken in a dark suit and tie, arms folded, and looking off into the distance. The reverse side shows slight/minimal signs of pasting.
