Description: Frank Zappa’s personally owned & used telephone from his office at Utility Muffin Research Kitchen. Vintage push button phone. Phone is black and made by Western Electric. Comes with original cord that attaches the handset to the base. 📞 To quote Zappa from his song “Telephone Conversation”: “Hello? Vickie? Yeah What's happening? Listen: Your father has called me up this... Now look, just don't panic but just tell me I'm not panicking Ok I think my phone's captured too Well don't worry about it, it's quite alright Fine... your father called me up this afternoon Just a second...” This is an extremely unique item from the life and legacy of Frank Zappa and comes directly from Frank Zappa’s estate known as The Zappa Trust. This item comes directly from The Zappa Trust, which was managed by Frank Zappa’s children: Moon, Deeezil, Ahmet, & Diva Zappa. Phone is made to be mounted to the wall. Great display potential!! In very good condition!! Some signs of wear from age and normal use. (See pics) Phone is untested, and being sold “as-is”, as I don’t have a landline to test it, but it’s likely that this phone still works and could actually be used. It remains in the exact condition that Frank kept it in. Imagine making calls from Frank Zappa’s phone?!! Such a cool piece and comes directly from Frank Zappa’s estate.
