To rehydrate add 2 parts hot water to 1 part green beans. Allow the green beans to absorb the water for about 20 minutes or until fully rehydrated. You do not need to rehydrate the green beans if you are using it in a recipe as the green beans will rehydrate in whatever liquid is being used. We freeze dry and package all products in house. Each bag of green beans is packaged in a resealable 7 mil mylar pint bag. Each package is heat sealed above the resealable strip of the bag with an oxygen absorber inside. Stored this way, these freeze-dried products have a 25-year storage life. Freeze Dried foods are great for long term emergency food storage.
