Description: This delightful little cookery book was produced and printed locally in Devon, England, by my late mother, in the 1980s, when she and her husband bought the oldest house on Exmoor- built in the 1600s. They then proceeded to turn the property into an attractive hotel and guests from all over the globe sampled many of Margaret's unusual and historical culinary dishes. All 19 recipes are sourced from English country house cookery books and have been updated with modern measurements. Recipes include: 3 soups, 4 savoury starters, 2 fish, 1 chicken, 1 venison, 1 partridge, 2 vegetables and 5 sweet dishes. My mother, Margaret, sometimes liked to add her own personal touch to some of the dishes she cooked and the guests at the hotel were keen to take a copy of her book back home as a reminder of their stay.
