This hook comes in a weedless and non-weedless option for different applications. This weedless version is great for if you have small grass or other green growth in the lake that might cause snags or foul your hook. The nylon weedless guard simply catches on the barb of the hook which holds it in place surprisingly well. It's firm enough that it keeps stuff off your hook but light enough to give under a hook set. The hook is extremely sharp and has a thin wire but is strong enough to land some of the biggest fish. The angled eye gives you leverage as you set the hook and almost pivots the point upward for a better hookup ratio.
