My Fiskars X7 has not fallen out (and the retention on the Bushcraft is even better than the X7 because of the dimpled blade) and it's been on my pack for 4 seasons and numerous bucks packed out of the Southern Oregon Cascade mountains. I do NOT locktite the screws holding the Malice clips, but I do the screws in the rear of the cover. 6 screws hold in the Malice clips, then a Velcro strip to weave your clips back thru properly and a piece of kydex on top - riveted to the clip, Velcro. P-Cord is to remove the cover/clip to a pack (I have a caribeener on mine to clip to the side to prevent any sway).Colors will vary depending on what cordage I currently have. Will not be exact as picture sometimes - but will always match. There is more than enough tension to keep your hatchet exactly where it belongs! Hatchet will not fall out. Like stated before, I have 4 hunting seasons - and 3 sons with tags and myself..... and running thru the brush of the Oregon Cascade Mountains it has never failed me - my hatchet always comes home! Yes, Kydex will scratch metal, it is what it is. If that bothers you, do not buy my holster. Kydex is harder than steel on the Rockwell hardness scale, that is why.
