Description: This print is from scarce book that is almost 100 years old. It is a lovely color print, with a blank back and a tissue overlay. It is not a chromolith, so it does have a dot pattern. The illustration is by the artist E. Yarrow Jones. It shows two giraffe and their baby. The tissue overlay has the following caption: GIRAFFES AND YOUNG THe colorations of the young and the adult are practically identical, but the neck and forequarters of the yound are relatively shorter. By accident of the drawing, the vertical rails in the background make the necks of the adults appear rahter shorter than they are, but the proportions are correct by measurement. Forgive the poor quality of the scan. The original has bright, rich colors. It has a blank back. PLEASE NOTE: There are minor stains in the outer white margin area of this print.
