Description: A true rarity. Here's the Canadian edition published by Simcoe of the first issue of DC's long running romance title Girls' Romances. There are zero issues of the Canadian in the CGC census. There are seven issues in the census for the DC edition. I'm pretty sure that I sent the cover to the GCD years ago that shows the issue and don't recall seeing another copy. Stories by Natalie Krigstein, Win Mortimer, and others. Ungraded. This is a very solid copy, I'd say around VG. The largest downside is a general but mostly even browning throughout the comic. I'm pretty sure the color strike on the Simcoe edition is darker than on the US edition but I daresay the condition is better than it looks at first glance. Beyond any browning, the cover is square and feels thick. There is a bit of creasing (and some ghost creasing) in the bottom right corner, and this book would likely benefit from a press. The spine is in nice shape with maybe a bump at the top corner to go with minor knicks and chipping. Staples tight. Browning to the inner covers, but they are clean and complete. Besides any browning, the pages are very supple and feel thick. Surprisingly good colors and printing inside. I daresay it's better than the U.S. version which is pretty much the opposite of what I've seen with other Canadian publishers :D Square corners, no tears. Staples tight at centerfold. The one imperfection inside is that a dealer has written lightly in pencil above the first splash. Browning and some grubbiness on square back cover. A very rare bird here, catch it while you can. I'm not an expert grader, so please look carefully at the many quality photos and determine the grade and condition for yourself. I'm always happy to answer any questions.
