Published by Rand, McNally & Company, Chicago, 1893. Sm8vo. [6], 7-527pp. Many illustrations including frontispiece with tissue-guard and a full-page tinted map of Lake Glazier and Its Feeders. Later printing of 1892 copyright. Very good book in dark blue cloth covered boards. Board edges are bevelled. Front and back panels are stamped with the same map illustrations; back panel is all blind-stamped, front panel has both gilt and blind-stamped borders; map is both gilt- and silver-stamped with the gilt lettering. Spine has gilt-stamped lettering and illustration. External page edges are blue-speckled and age-toned. Uppermost edge at head of board spine has horizontal crease and corners are rubbed; tail of board spine is split and with loss of 1/4 by 3/8". Fore-edge corners are scuffed and lower tips have smell rub-throughs. Board edges have a few Gutter is partially separated at pp.14-15. A few small margin scuffs. Foxing is minimal, mostly along gutters of pages toward the front and back. Back free end-paper has a 3/8" by 1/4" chip along the fore-edge. Text block is sound.
