Description: This cable was made specifically for use in the ASUS ESC4000 server chassis to connect a GPU video accelerator (such as the RTX A4000 that uses a standard 6-pin PCIe connector for power, typically single height cards that require sub-300W power) to the connectors on the PDB of the ESC4000 G3. The PDB connector pinout is different than a standard 4-pin connection so a standard cable will NOT work. The cable is a standard 6-pin PCIe cable, however I put the 2x2 connection on the other end, wired to work with the power subsystem in the ASUS ESC4000 G3 chassis. The cable is approximately 20CM/7.5IN in length and uses 18-gauge wire. Also included is a 4 pin CPU extension cable. This allows you to connect and disconnect the power from the video accelerator without having to stretch cables too tightly and damaging them, or worse, the video accelerator! Please note that the 6 pin to 4 pin cable is the one that has been modified. The 4 pin extension is a standard cable. You can choose to use your own extension, or none if you would like, but you WILL want to make sure you use the 6 pin to 4 pin cable. If you purchase these cables for use with another video accelerator that uses a 6 pin PCIe connector for power, or a different server platform than the ASUS ESC4000 G3, PLEASE validate the wiring is correct for your particular combination.
