Description: The GRAND CASINO GULFPORT operated from 1993 until it was destroyed in 1995 by hurricane Kartrina. While most of the hotel facility remained intact, the casino barge was washed ashore during the hurricane and partially blocked Beach Boulevard (U.S. Highway 90), the beachfront's main roadway. To clear the road, the casino was imploded. All remaining assets were sold to the adjacent Copa Casino. A new casino is now located here called the Island View Casino. This obsolete and hard to get chip is now only available from collectors
