The stone is cut from raw material and the outline is manually shaped.The product consists of four parts: the ball, the umbrella, the fire bowl, and the base.Each part is shaped by hammering the stone with stonemason tools.The stone is meticulously hammered using chisels and setta (stonemason tools). The fire bowl is finished with a lattice pattern through an openwork carving process, giving it a luxurious appearance.This piece is carefully crafted by Japanese artisans with heartfelt dedication.Please check the photo. 天下茶屋灯篭"Tenga Chaya" refers to the current name of a district in Nishinari Ward, Osaka Prefecture.The name is said to originate from a teahouse that once existed in this area.In the 1590s, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the ruler of Japan at that time, visited Sumiyoshi Shrine and stopped by the teahouse in this area.He was so impressed by the taste of the tea that the place was named after this experience.The Tengachaya Tourou was built in imitation of that teahouse. This is a natural stone product. The small white part biotite.The small black part is biotite or iron.
