Description: This is a pretty green Washington Taylor pontiled quart historical flask that is grouped by McKearin as GI-54 and attributed to the Dyottville Glass Works of Philadelphia. I guarantee it was hand blown in the 1850s or early 1860 period.....The front of the flask has a bust of George Washington on a large raised oval; no other embossing....Back has a bust of Zachary Taylor on large raised oval with no other embossing.....Open Pontil....crude drippy applied double collar...pretty grass green color (no aqua).....quart....8 3/4"tall...Excellent attic nice condition with no chips or damage of any kind. The top of lip has a smooth natural underfill from when it was made. Big drips of glass underneath. A bit of light attic dust haze.
