It does not require any installation and clamps directly to the bed. The scale is fitted with neodymium magnetic anvils on both ends allowing you to position either side of the saddle. This device is engineered to specifically fit only this lathe type. Allows you to monitor the travel of your lathe carriage up to 100mm (per stroke). This greatly facilitates repositioning the indicator on long, multiple step carriage travels. It rigidly clamps to the V way.
