Grover Cleveland Banquet Dinner Menu Milwaukee Merchants Plankinton House 1887

Description: I have up for sale a rare antique vintage original dated October 6 , 1887 Banquet Menu for then President Grover Cleveland by the Merchants Association of Milwaukee at the Plankinton House - Milwaukee , Wisconsin. The menu is covered in woven fabric possibly silk - I am not sure , some modest fraying on the margins. Inside is a Menu which was a separate booklet type piece of hard board paper . The booklet measures approx 4-1/8" x 5-7/8" . There are 2 pieces - the booklet which is basically a cover and the menu itself. Overall its in nice shape for the age, does have some fraying and general light age /storage wear . View the pics to help assess. The back of the menu has the name of the Directors for the Merchants Association and Officers. C.E. Andrews was the President and Vice President was J.E. Hansen. Grover Cleveland was the only US President to serve two non consecutive terms in office and was the first Democratic Candidate elected to office after the Civil War. The menu was designed and engraved by John A. Lowell & Co - Boston . ONLY THROW OUT THE BOXES AND PACKAGING AFTER YOU HAVE INSPECTED THE ITEM OR ITEMS AND FIND NO DAMAGE other than what may be noted in the condition report or shown in the pics.
