Description: Here is a fully painted cast of a sculpture I had made inspired by the ultra rare Beistle dancing skeleton die cut from the 1930's- the Holy Grail of vintage Halloween collecting. I wanted to be as true to the original paper pulp die cut, so this item was cast in paper clay, which has an incredible strength and durability. Painted in acrylic with an added drybrushed technique to make this look authentically aged. Two versions of orange were used in Beistle originals: light harvest orange and blood moon orange, so for this piece I chose the latter. But there is a bonus: turn off the lights and the skeleton and watching eyes glow or turn on a blacklight to see fluorescence . Sealed in fixative. This one is 2 inches shorter than the actual vintage die cut, but still an impressive 16 inches tall by 9 3/4 inches wide by 1/2 inch thick. Signed on the back. I took another liberty, which was that I did not recreate the scalop edging as it would have create difficulties in the casting process. Sales benefit the ongoing weird history webseries, “This Was Old Halloween “ on YouTube. Sold to Contiguous US locations only to reduce possibility of destruction by USPS.
