Description: Hand Made Machined Mechanical Metal Aluminum Brass Steam Engine Model Toy Vtg --- Stands 10" tall (when removed from the wood base and measured from the aluminum base to the brass center post on the top cylindrical brass housing). Sits within the trim on the wood base (a very precise fit, once it is seated you can pick up the engine without the base coming off, the wood base can start to slide off a little). Has been set up to run on compressed air. I haven't tried to run the engine, it turns smoothly by hand (I call this a "steam engine", but I'm assuming this is built for compressed air so I'm not sure if the "steam" reference is entirely accurate other than the inspiration). I don't know the type of this engine design (I'm sure there is a name for it). The engine weighs 5 lbs 5 ounces when removed from the wood base. The aluminum base measures 6.25" x just under 4.25".
